Lemon Law
Few things are more exciting and rewarding
than owning a new car. Unfortunately, sometimes the car
that you bought can be defective. If that is the case,
you may have a "lemon" on your hands. However, you have
rights. If your car has a serious defect that has developed
within 2 years or 1,800 miles, and there have been at least
3 attempts to repair the defect, you are eligible for protection
under New Jersey's Lemon Law.
The manufacturer of your car is obligated upon your election to either:
Replace your car
Refund your money
The auto manufacturers are all aware of
their legal responsibilities. However, they routinely
ignore consumers who approach them without a lawyer.
Don't let the manufacturer of your car do that to you.
The auto manufacturers all have lawyers, and so should you.
